Vamp mods have one big malus... they are NO fun to play in PvE. Sure its no problem to heal you with only -1 degeneration and you can switch the weapons any time once you are out of combat.
But its annoying to switch weapons every time and makes you lose the normal hp regeneration over time.
Elemental dmg is not that good. you don't profit from many spells (like order of...) anymore and if you are fighting ranger or ele enemies, you'll face a lot of elemental resistance. I would use a fire mod only in combination with conjure flame or something like that or for farming certain enemies.
thats why many rely on sundering because you have a bonus without any drawback. Crippling, cruel and other condition upgrades are nice too but you have to use certain skills to make any use of them.

The only place my tests have ever seen a difference is with criticals. It's negligible on any regular attack I have tried.
|
Thats only because criticals do a fixed amount of damage. If you get +20%dmg on a attack that deals 10-20 dmg you won't notice (unless you deal 21+dmg). The dmg bonus doesn't change if you get a critical or not.

Translation: If you are either (1) easily annoyed or (2) lazy, Sundering is a valid preference.
If you want to maximize your damage, Vampiric is the clear choice.

I don't play WoW and never will, dude. I play to win, and that means being the best that I can be. There is enough statistics out there that have proven vampiric tops sundering and rehashing this become an opinion forum. My opinion or your opinion.. DOES NOT MATTER... the stats say that vampiric does more damage than sundering.
As for you starting to flame, grow up nub.

JR: statistics show that thisotherthing is better than suchandsuch.
noob: you are an elitist world of warcrack a-hole because you maximize your damage efficiency! i am better than you because i'm NOT an elitist world of warcrack a-hole, and because i'm too lazy/stupid to maximize my damage efficiency, and i'm gonna insult you to feel better about myself!

Shut up Kai. Just because you're so ignorant of facts doesn't mean people are elitist.

It's a matter of which is better. Sure, you may prefer Sundering over Vampiric, but that doesn't mean it's better.

I always thought Elitists were the close-minded and arrogant people that bash everyone without reason or explanation and base everything off of their personal preference, claiming their way is the only way.... wait a minute... am I explaining a certain someone who uses "preference" and calls people names when he doesn't know them? Err... dude... you can call me an elitist, but you clearly act like one! Keep thinking sundering is better than vampiric and I will keep laughing at your half-hearted keyboard flexing... pcthug.
Go back to Diablo and point-and-click your way to glory. Leave PvP opinions to smarter ppl.

So we're not friends anymore? Fine, I see how it is. Looks like a couple months in seperate guilds is really that hard on you, eh?

I couldn't care less because I've basically quit playing GW, except from the one or 2 odd times when I manage to stay on for 5 minutes before my computer crashes <_<
Fact is, Vampiric is better. You're trying to go around every point people make by saying they are World of Warcrack elitists?
Sounds like you're just being ignorant :\

There's no reason to just toss old friends and guildies aside because you quit. You've pretty much announced to the world that you're a fairweathered friend.
I wasn't calling them world of Warcrack elitists. I was pointing out how much they were behaving like WoW elitists.
